I’m thinking of doing some baking this week, since everyone is home for spring break. It might be a small layer cake, or a pan of cupcakes; or I may go with cookies: oatmeal chocolate chip, ginger, or these beautiful jam sandwiches, dusted with icing sugar. Which treat would you choose?
I’m always working on something; this is the set up for an almond and puffed cereal brittle I’m going to try. What are you doing? #candybrittle #nutbrittle #kitchenexperiments #puffedcereal
Happy Easter!
This sweet potato got away from us in the cabinet... and look how gorgeous it is now that I’m rooting it! #citygardening #growingvegetablesathome #rootingvegetables #rootingplants #sweetpotatoroots #sproutedveggies #sproutedsweetpotato #windowsillgarden
Making a sunny afternoon special with lemonade: cute glasses, crushed ice, store-bought lemonade decanted into a pitcher. Probably 45 seconds of extra work but such a nice treat! #sunnydays☀️
Do you love ice cream cake? How about a layered ice cream terrine? There are actually 2 reasons to love this beauty of a dessert: 1) it’s stunning! 2) there are endless possibilities to customizing the flavours and toppings! Just know that if you want to top it with a lot of extras like sauce and nuts and icing, you have to account for freezing, and which extras will and which won’t hold up in the freezer; plus, if you’re taking it somewhere, remember that ice cream melts quickly- especially when you don’t want it to! So... having said all that, do you love ice cream cake? #icecreamcake #icecreamterrine #dessertterrine #homemadedessert #slicedicecream #icecreamslices #peanutbuttericecream #peanutbutterandchocolate
