Sometimes my kids’ lunch boxes come home empty and sometimes a mess of soggy crumbs and grape stems. But must often there are a few uneaten items that aren’t mushy or garbage… they just didn’t get eaten. I salvage those pieces (from all the boxes) and offer them up as a snack or incorporate them into dinner: veggies can go into our salad, crackers for the after school snack, and grapes into a dish in the fridge for later. #nowaste #zerowaste #dontwastefood #saveitforlater
